Here are two inks of pieces I am working on. I haven’t really shown much of art that I’m doing in a long while other than Ants. So first up is one I’ve had on the back burner for awhile. The costume design is based entirely off of the Cobra Kai dojo students’ halloween costumes from the original Karate Kid. For me that is the best scene in that whole film. The look is iconic.

The second has wink for the late King of Pop and when finished another pop song reference when I add in my usual typography and layout.

I’ve been doing sketches of the cast from the great 90s teen mutant comic Generation X. I’m working my way through each one. I plan on doing Jubilee last since she is my favorite mutant. My friend JC said I should add in the original Blink too. That might happen.

The youngest generation of DC Heroes. I’ve always like these three. I did some changes to their costumes to make them more like clothing. With Superboy having all clothes as his costume. Their looks is part of an idea I have that if I ever got to do a special Teen Titans story. It would be set around TIm’s and Conner’s senior year of high school from the beginning to the week before going to college.

Sunspot

Today’s drawing is Sunspot, I guess I’m on a mutant kick right now. I do have a Robin design in my head, that might be tomorrow. Oh and for those that don’t know Sunspot is part of the New Mutants and X-Force.

Storm warm up sketch

I’m going to try and do more warm up drawing and maybe use more mainstream characters so that I might try to do some cover samples one day. This is all digital using SketchBook Pro and Photoshop and a busted old Graphire 3 wacom tablet.

Here is a new piece I have recently finished. Another Guns N’ Honey hit. This time in two colorways.

Here is the new GnH design of 2008. I did this for a contest on the site laFraise, the contest is laFraise vs. Popdeck and its to design a T-Shirt and a skateboard deck. Popdeck is a site that makes skateboard decks. Hopefully I can place and win some money.

I did this for the UDON Street Fighter Tribute book. I didn’t get in but I like the piece, so I’m putting it up and in my gallery.
